Irish Strongman League is bringing something new to the Irish Strongman scene for class 1 and 2 athletes 🔥
This years competition will be linked to the Scottish Strongman League. The Irish and Scottish will compete in 3 competitions within their countries, points accumulate from each competition and the top 6 athletes from each league will compete against each other in the Black Box in Galway, this will be on the same day as the open athletes Finals for the Irish Strength Cup and Scottish Strength Cup invitationals. Â
There will be 2 category's run for the league.

Dates.
Event 1: April 27th - ABS Powerlifting, Dublin
Event 2: July 19th - Running alongside the Irish Strength Cup in Claregalway Castle
Event 3:Â September 14th - GSP Galway
Finals (For top 6 athletes): November 2nd Black Box, Galway (Livestreamed)

Event 1 - Log press
Class 1: Log for Max
Class 2: Log for Max
Event 2 - Deadlift for reps (no suits) (1 rep of heavy trumps any amount of light option), weight needs to be picked in advance, 1 bar on platform.
Class 1: 250/220kg
Class 2: 220/180kg
Event 3 - Yoke into 2 sandbag over yoke, 10m each
Class 1: 270kg/100kg/110kg
Class 2: 220kg/80kg/90kg
Event 4 - Farmers walk - Max distance, 10m track
Class 1:Â 120kg
Class 2:Â 105kg
Event 5 - Bag to shoulder for reps (1 rep of heavy trumps any amount of light option)
Class 1:Â 120/100kg
Class 2:Â 100/80kg

- We will open single competition entries at a later date, these athletes will be part of each competition they enter as normal, however, their placing will have no effect on the league standings.
