Irish Strongman League is back for 2026!!
This years competition will be linked to the Scottish & English Strongman League. The Irish, Scottish and English will compete in competitions within their countries, points accumulate from each competition and the top 5 athletes from the Irish league will be invited to compete in the Final
The final will be ran in Cumbria in England by Adam Rumney of Cumbria Strongman Academy, it is set to be in November, exact date TBC.
There will be 2 category's run for the league.

Dates.
Event 1: April 25th - Forged Strength, Fermanagh
Event 2: June 27th - Running alongside the Irish Strength Cup in Claregalway Castle
Event 3: September 13th - Midlands Strength, Longford
- Please note: Single competition entries are currently only going to be made available for event 1+3, the only way to guarantee a spot in event 2 is to enter the whole league.

League 1 events
1) Axle press
Class 1: Max
Class 2: 70/90kg for reps - 1 rep of heavier option trumps any amount of light
2) Deadlift for reps
Class 1: 220/260kg - 1 rep of heavier option trumps any amount of light
Class 2: 180/220kg- 1 rep of heavier option trumps any amount of light
3) Super Yolk 10+10m
Class 1: 270kg
Class 2: 220kg
4) Farmers Walk 10+10+10m
Class 1: 120kg
Class 2: 100kg
5) Atlas Stones
Class 1: Last man standing 90/100/120/140/160/180
Class 2: Last man standing 80/90/100/120/140/160
Everyone in your category will line up and do 1 rep of of the first stone, you go to the back of the line, then onto the next and so on. You'll get 15s to complete the rep, once you miss a stone you are out. You're lift will then be record as the last stone you completed, no different to any other max type lift. The athlete sitting last going into the event will be first out, second last will be second out and so on, up to the leader who will be last on each stone.
